Our Story

innovating since 1995

It all started in a peanut field in Argentina...

Jim Gregory has been in the peanut business since 1995. As part of a quality assurance lab in Cordoba, Argentina, he worked with farmers, shellers, and manufacturers to improve the safety and quality of the Argentine peanut industry for the world export market. Working with different sectors of the industry, he realized one of the main problems was a lack of adapted varieties. They needed peanuts developed for the unique needs of the region to help compete on a global scale. It all tied back to the genetics.

Fast-forward to the early 2000s; Jim moved his family to Texas and observed the same issues in the SW peanut industry--there was a need for custom-tailored varieties for farmers and manufacturers in that region. So began a lifelong pursuit of custom-tailored peanut varieties for new origins all over the world.

Today, Jim works with his family in Brownfield, Texas with varieties planted in West Texas, the Mid-South and Southeast U.S.; Central and South America; Europe; and Africa. He enjoys a great partnership with many good people from many different cultures.

As a family-run company, IPG looks forward to continuing his legacy of service to the industry and to others. We believe in growing the good.
